Our shop is open during normal museum opening hours. It carries an extensive range of books relating to transport, with an emphasis on rail. Many are out of print or difficult to find. There are also many vintage rail, car and engineering magazines and related memorabilia. We also stock books on local history, including the complete range of studies of Lea Valley industries by historian Jim Lewis, as well as a large number of scale models for collectors, particularly model railway enthusiasts.

The cafe is open during normal museum opening hours. As well as a variety of sweet and savoury snacks, soft drinks, fruit juices, tea and coffee, it serves filled rolls and sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs all freshly prepared on the premises and sold at reasonable prices.
