Volunteering

The museum is run entirely by volunteers. The work involved is both manual and office-based and includes:

• Maintaining the Pumphouse building and yard

• Restoring vehicles and other exhibits

• Making display cases and boards

• Serving refreshments

• Cataloguing and keeping records

• Conducting guided tours of the museum

• Organising events

• Publicising the museum

Each volunteer can work on tasks which they feel happy to do. Volunteers should be at least eighteen years old, otherwise there are no restrictions. Anyone who has something to offer is welcome. We are always looking for volunteers, so if you would like to help out by offering your time to this exciting project, please contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator, Peter Spence on 01708 606 021 or email the museum.
