Celebrating 50 Years of the Victoria Line at the Walthamstow Pumphouse Museum

Next year will mark 50 Years since the line first opened on the 1st September 1968 between Walthamstow and Highbury & Islington. The museum is currently planning a weekend event to celebrate this important transport achievement which is just one of the many that happen in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Our two Victoria Line driving cars are in need of restoration works being carried out on them. We are therefore looking for volunteers to carry out this work on Sunday’s during the coming summer months with us in readiness for the big event next year. Would you like to be part of a team to work on this heritage project? If so then please call Lindsay Collier on 07930 662252 or email him on l.collier418@btinternet.com for details.
